Section 3.4 Taxicab Ellipses

What are ellipses? The set of points at constant distance sum from two foci. Again, since we have changed the notion of distance, taxicab ellipses may not look much like Euclidean ellipses. A special case of a taxicab ellipse is shown in Figure 3.4.1.
