Section 3.6 More Taxicab Ellipses

As with circles (see Section 3.3), ellipses can be generalized to use “foci” that are other objects than points. For example, the locus of points with constant distance sum to a point \(A\) and a line \(m\) is illustrated in Figure 3.6.1.
